This will certainly be incorrect for me to do, but oh well. Gary Sheffield recently said this in
GQ Magazine:

I'll tell you what I think...I think Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be camped out in my backyard. I think Anderson Cooper would do an documentary on why racism is still prevalent in our society. I would be fined and suspended - ostracised by other baseball players. I would have to apologize and show deep regret - AS I SHOULD.
So, why the double standard? Why Imus, but not Gary? It's not his first strike by any imagination.
