Be careful of getting into a groove.

I am coming to understand that God doesn't want me to get into a life of comfort. As a matter of fact I know he has called me to a life of discomfort for the Gospel's sake and I, as the apostles were, am honored to share in HIS sufferings.

But quite honestly, I like the groove. I like things to just go smoothly. Everytime I think I have reached a place of comfort in my life and ministry God throws some situation, event or tragedy into my life that I simply do not have the answers to. Everytime I think I have arrived at some level of pastoral proficiency God reminds me that I am helpless without Him. He has done so this week.

So be careful of getting into the groove. God will shake you out of it real quick.
