Dealing With Da Vinci

Questions, Questions, Questions...that is what Dan Brown's fictional novel, The Da Vinci Code leaves in the mind of many people. What is the church to do about the book and now the movie? What do we say when people ask:

Can we trust the four Gospels?
Was Jesus really the Son of God?
Did Jesus marry?
What does History really teach?

The next several entries to Brad's Musings will be dedicated to answering those questions and more.

FIRST, Christians need to recognize the opportunity God has given us. There is more spiritual discussion in the public now than at any other time since The Passion. While The Da Vinci Code assaults the beliefs and values of Christianity it does provide us with a great conversation piece so that we can talk with our friends and neighbors about Christ.
Second, the church needs not to be intimidated or worried. For over 3,500 years the Word of God has been assaulted and for 3,500 years the Word of God has stood it's ground - IT WILL again.
